Who’s behind the machine

SecondLook is a small, independent product built for real home buyers — not a giant tech platform, and not a replacement for your inspector or your agent. We use AI because inspection reports are long, dense, and easy to misread when you’re already stressed about the biggest purchase of your life. But every decision about what we build, how we price it, and how we treat your data is made by people who care whether you actually understand your report before you sign.

Why we built SecondLook

Most buyers receive a thick inspection PDF and a short conversation with their agent. Important issues get buried on page 37. Cosmetic notes sound scary. Repair costs are a guess. You leave the inspection thinking you understood everything — and only discover what you missed after closing, or when negotiation time has already passed.

We built SecondLook to give you a calm, plain-English second opinion: what matters, what can wait, what to ask the seller for, and what it might cost to fix — organized so you can talk to your partner, your agent, or your contractor without wading through inspector jargon.

How the “machine” fits in

The AI reads your official inspection PDF (including scanned pages), ranks findings by real buyer risk, estimates repair-cost ranges for your area, and drafts negotiation talking points. A human team still runs SecondLook: we set the prompts, monitor quality, handle support, and improve the product when something doesn’t land right.

SecondLook is based in the Texas Hill Country (Dripping Springs area). We built the service for buyers anywhere in the U.S. who upload a standard home inspection report.
